Round Rock Orthotics and Prosthetics offers a full range of O&P services and welcomes patients of all ages, from infants to senior citizens. Our professional staff includes orthotists, who are specialists in devices used to support, align, correct or prevent deformities or to improve body function. We also have prosthetists on staff, who specialize in the design and use of artificial limbs.
Our orthotists are experienced in treating patients with hundreds of different diagnoses, from foot disorders and sports injuries to neuromuscular disorders, fractures, scoliosis, spina bifida and cerebral palsy. Our highly trained prosthetists offer a variety of services ranging from sports prostheses to devices for congenital and pediatric amputees.
Our O&P practitioners use the latest scientific advances, from myoelectric technology to materials made of carbon fiber, lightweight plastics and resins to create and custom fit devices.
From the initial free evaluation to long-term follow-up care, one practitioner will oversee each patient´s care. Working in conjunction with a referring physician, our O&P practitioner will perform a thorough evaluation, taking into account a patient´s habits, lifestyle and goals before designing an orthotic or prosthetic device. The orthotist or prosthetist will take measurements and may require several follow-up appointments with you for fittings and adjustments to your device.
We are committed to the long-term care of each patient and offer periodic check-ups at no expense to address questions or concerns and ensure that the devices we have fabricated continue to fit and function well. We understand that wearing an orthosis or prosthesis can sometimes present problems and we always make time to see patients who are having difficulty.
